Our work combines deep knowledge of the most traditional and authentic forms of Chinese Feng Shui, business experience, and a high level of professionalism (See our advice in selecting a Feng Shui practitioner) . While custom-tailored to our clients needs, our consulting services respect a rigorous methodology. Our projects, large or small, are managed in the same highly professional manner and include several steps.
Project Methodology:
1. Preliminary discussion, usually by phone. This initial step launches the project. It allows the client to understand the way we work and the set of data needed for the audit. It allows us to get an in-depth description of the problem, and helps us jointly set the projects objectives, mutual responsibilities, and timetable.
2. Data collection. This second step is done by the client with our support and guidance if needed (e.g.. coaching on how to take a compass reading when orientation is missing on the floor plan, or how to increase chances of finding a building date).
3. Floor plan analysis. We always analyze your floor plan according to very precise rules prior to visiting your space. This allows us to arrive on-site well informed to proceed with the gathering of additional data. Our analysis does not limit itself to the study of space only (pure Form School) but integrates the time factor as well, combining both Advanced Compass and Form Schools of Feng Shui. (Click on Links for information on how to learn more about Traditional Chinese Feng Shui.)
4. On-site visit (generally half a day). This includes visiting your surroundings to assess the exterior influences on your site, checking the accuracy of compass readings, visiting the interior, and providing you with preliminary feedback on furniture placement and on our floor plan analysis. It allows ample time for Q & A.
5. A written report sent shortly after the site visit, providing in-depth analysis and clear yet simple recommendations. We have the highest respect for our clients taste and choice in decorating matters and never propose to add any object that does not belong to their space or to our culture. We take into account all material and financial constraints and, when changes are needed, we make sure to optimize first what is in place before suggesting a costly option.
6. Follow-up to ensure that our advice is clear and that our recommendations are properly implemented. The follow up process can be done by phone (up to two hours) or by e-mail.
7. Check up call within four to six months to get your feedback. We initiate this call and it formally concludes the project. This last step allows us to jointly evaluate the work done together and the results.
In total, we spend an average time of two days per project.
We also provide the following services as options:
Follow-up visit(s) six to eight weeks after the audit is completed
Audits of additional spaces you use (workspace, country house etc) where problems may be located or reinforced
Including your case (anonymously) in our Feng Shui research database for long term survey
Information sessions to include additional family members or colleagues in the process.
Analysis of the Chinese Astrological Chart (Ba Zi) when the space audit does not yield satisfactory answers to all of the difficulties faced by the client.
Professional fees:
Traditionally in this profession and in Asia, pricing has been based on space footage. Our experience shows that this pricing method, while easy to understand, does not yield the fairest fee to the client. Therefore we encourage you to contact us directly for price and quotation, based on your exact needs and the characteristics of your space.
We provide detailed quotes. Work will not begun until the quote is approved, signed and returned to us. Travel & Expense is clients responsibility. Travel time is generally charged at a flat rate per day.
We tend to disapprove of rush jobs although our clients can attest that we use our best efforts to meet their needs! In order to allocate ample time and resources to you, we ask you to please contact us early enough to set up the initial appointment. Allow a minimum of two weeks.
